about . lexi

As a Vampire, Lexi possesses a number of strengths and weaknesses. It's worth noting that Lexi prefers to feed on Human Blood to Animal Blood, she does however have a respect for human life. She doesn't kill unless threatened and would certainly choose blood bags over feeding on a person without their permission. That said, she will drink from somebody and use compulsion to erase their memories of it happening, if need be.

As a 352 year old Vampire (Because we don't count that pesky dead period), she is stronger than anyone younger than her, or anyone who feeds on animal blood rather than human blood. She's also a Vampire who appears to have evolved with the times, never seeming to look out of place in whatever decade she finds herself in. She doesn't hold to the outdated times of the era she was born into.

Unlike many of the Mystic Falls Vampires, Lexi does not possess a daylight ring..

Depending on canon point, Lexi may appear either in her Vampire form, or as a Ghost. Vampires who become Ghosts retain their Vampire Abilities and Lexi was notably, able to walk in the sun as a Ghost with corporeal form.

permissions

To make things easier for both of us, I have a permissions post for Lexi for you to read over and fill out. If you aren't sure about her abilities, they have been listed below and if you have any questions not answered here, feel free to ask.

p e r m s . f o r m

Cʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ: Self-Explanatory
Fᴀɴᴅᴏᴍ: Self-Explanatory
Jᴏᴜʀɴᴀʟ: Self-Explanatory
Fᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ: Are you Open to the possibility of Lexi feeding from your character? If Yes, with or without permission? N.B: Without permission will very likely involve compulsion.
Cᴏᴍᴘᴜʟsɪᴏɴ: Lexi can compel a person to make them do things, forget things, even to believe that years have passed. Can Lexi compel your character (Some characters are resistant to compulsion, such as Dhampirs) and if so, are you okay with Lexi using compulsion on yours.
Vɪsɪᴏɴs/Dʀᴇᴀᴍ Mᴀɴɪᴘᴜʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: Under the same tree as compulsion, Lexi is able to get in a persons mind and make them see and believe things that aren't real; Creating vivid dreams and visions, even able to make a Vampire feel that they haven't fed in a decade. Are you interested in Lexi playing with your characters head? If so, any places you don't want it to go. IE. Light and playful messing with only (Aka she makes you have vivid sex dreams about people...) N.B. Lexi has been shown to be able to do this even to those she cannot compel. (I.E. Vampires.)
Hᴇᴀʟɪɴɢ: Lexi's blood has healing qualities that can help a person if they have been physically hurt. Are you okay with Lexi feeding your character her blood if they are injured? N.B. If a person dies with Vampire Blood in their system, they begin the transformation process to become a Vampire. They must however feed to complete the transformation.

abilities

Taken from The Vampire Diaries Wikia.

The supernatural forces that sustain vampires also endow them with enhanced physical abilities as well as powers of mind control. These powers and abilities grow stronger with time, age, and the consumption of human blood.

Super Strength - Vampires are noticeably much stronger than average adult humans and slowly grow stronger with time. They always have the advantage of superior strength in direct combat with a human. Even new vampires who are still in transition can toss an average size, fully grown human across a room with great speed and force. Their other feats include single-handedly lifting grown men high off the ground by the throat and snapping their necks, ripping people apart, and ripping out internal organs such as hearts with little to no effort. Their strength is also more powerful than that of werewolves that are not in wolf form. Their strength allows them to jump higher and further than any natural creature. Vampires who feed on humans are stronger than those who feed on animal blood.

Super Speed - Vampires are much faster than humans and werewolves in human form and can possibly out run a werewolf even in wolf form. Vampires can accelerate their movements to cover short distances in an instant, faster than the human eye can see. When running across long distances, they appear as vibrating blurs of motion. Their reflexes are similarly heightened. Like their strength, their speed increases with age.

Super Agility - Vampires possess superhuman agility. They have shown that they can move, jump very high, climb, and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion. Vampires can jump with their super speed too. Vampires that feed on human blood can jump much higher than vampires that feed on animal blood. These abilities increase with age.

Emotional Control - Vampires have the supernatural power and ability to control and manipulate the emotions of one's self, and others. They can "switch off" their ability to feel emotions - such as fear or guilt - allowing them to kill and feed without remorse and to go up against any opponent without fear. This power also relieves them of depression or sadness and is referred to in canon as their Humanity Switch.

Decelerated Falling - Vampires fall from great heights at a much slower rate than humans, almost appearing to float. This powers was first seen in Pilot when Stefan is seen jumping off the top of the Salvatore Boarding House and landing on his feet without any ill effects.

Dream Manipulation - Vampires can control dreams and the subconscious, giving them the ability to produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares and lucid dreaming. They are also able to distort reality and trap a human in their dreams.

Super Senses - Vampires have extremely keen senses of hearing, sight and smell that far exceed those of humans and werewolves. They can hear whispered conversations, even ones in far of buildings and on phones, smell blood, and see in total darkness. These senses improve with time.

Compulsion - Vampires have the ability to influence/control minds, plague people's dreams, and alter/erase human memories.

Immortality - A vampire stops aging once turned. Upon their transformation, vampires then on become immune to all conventional illness, disease, virus and infection.

Healing Factor - Vampires heal extremely quickly, but still feel the pain of a wound before it heals. Vampires can snap their bones back into place after being broken and have been seen to fully recover from gunshots, stab wounds, and torso impalement. The only injury that cannot be healed on its own is a werewolf bite. A Vampire may also use its blood to heal others.

Super Durability - Vampires can take a great amount of damage without being slowed down. Even vampires who have been shot with wooden bullets have been seen to continue fighting, as long as they were not shot in the heart.

Fangs - Vampires can grow a pair of fangs, which they use to feed. Their fangs will occasionally come out and extend when they feed, are aroused by the scent of blood, or feeling intensely threatened or angered, especially if they are new vampires who have yet to gain complete control over their bloodlust.

Sire Bond - Although rare among them, Sire Bonds can be formed when a human is turned with the blood of the vampire whom they had strong human feelings for.

Eidetic Memory - Vampires possess perfect recall and are unable to forget. Their minds are often called "vaults" in which they stores all their information permanently, regardless of how far such memories recede into the past.

weaknesses

Decapitation - Dismembering or removing the head of a vampire will result in permanent death.

Fire & Sunlight - Prolonged exposure to fire or sunlight will result in permanent death.

Wood - Wounding a vampire with a wooden weapon will cause the vampire to become severely weak. Stabbing a vampire through the heart with a wooden stake will result in permanent death.

Vervain - Exposure to or ingestion of vervain causes a vampire to become severely feverish and weak. Also, physical contact with vervain will burn a vampire's skin. Vampires cannot compel anyone who has ingested vervain or has it on their person.

Heart Extraction - Removing the heart of a vampire will result in permanent death.

Invitation - Vampires cannot enter a home without an invitation by the owner. If they somehow get in they will presumably suffocate.

Magic - Vampires are susceptible to the powers of witchcraft - including the creation of harmful magical objects.

Desiccation - Vampires who abstain from blood for extended amounts of time will eventually desiccate and mummify.

Vampire Bloodline - If an Original vampire dies, all vampires descended from their bloodline will slowly perish.

Werewolf Bite - The bite of a werewolf and the poison is extremely lethal to vampires. It will cause them to hallucinate, grow severely weak and go rabid until it kills them. Klaus' hybrid blood can cure the bite.

Broken Neck - Breaking a vampire's neck will not kill it, but it will render it unconscious for few minutes. It was shown when Alaric snaps Stefan and Damon's neck they recover quickly.

Hunter's Curse - If a vampire kills a member of The Brotherhood of the Five, they will be tormented by the hunter until they kill themselves or if the hunter is replaced.

The Cure - If a vampire takes the cure it will become human again.

White Oak Ash Dagger - It is said that if a vampire daggers an original, they will die. It' safe to assume that what kills an Original will kill any other Vampire.

N.B. Even if it's not listed here, I am perfectly fine with your character doing anything that comes with their powers or skills. You never need my permission for your character to act ICly! Whether they want to deduce (Sherlock), profile (Criminal Minds) or smell that she is different (True Blood/Southern Vampire Mysteries, Teen Wolf etc).

Hug/Kiss/Badtouch/Punch/General Fisticuffs and Shenanigans?: Go for it.

Fighting: Feel free to do as you wish in this realm, I only ask that you don't try and over-run me - give me a chance to respond don't just decide you break her neck and she's out for the count. If you want to go for a bit of non-lethal stabbing though, heck I'm ok with that.

Maiming: Sure, why not. It's not like most things will kill her. Just so long as you don't make with the killing? I'm good. I'm even open to werewolf-bites however, this needs to be plotted cause lol. TVD complications.

Murder: That depends on the game? I'm open to plotting anything where death isn't game-permanent.

Mind-reading?: Sure why not - ya know provided that's something your character can do. Mind-reading in the sense that you're using my characters thoughts to alter the way you respond and I might get a tad Grr Argh.

Rape: Not something I am all giddy to explore however, if it suits the story-line and preferably if its an attempt and not an actual rape... you'd need to discuss with me and no guarantee's I'll roll with it.

Threadhopping/Threadjacking: Go for it! More realistic that way anyway. That said - if I don't want it to happen my post will have [Closed] in the title.

Canonpuncture: (Spoilers from beyond her Canon Point). In Lexi's case? Sure why not. She won't be learning about anything that happens directly to her (cause well, dead) so this I don't mind at all.

Fourthwalling: Well you can try. Lexi will presume you are smoking crack and will probably compel you to GTFO.

S E X Y . T I M E S

I'm fine with most things but both I and my character are not into the overly kinky. Anything that belongs in a toilet, bestiality (humanoids might be one thing, if it oinks or bleats is a whole other) or incest all fall under the title of no thanks.

That being said it's pretty hard to ever offend me. I'm fine with any sort of language you want to use, but I will tread carefully so as not to cross any of your lines. When in doubt, feel free to shoot me a PM about it if you feel more comfortable.

Is fade to black OK?: I'm cool with hand-waving if you'd be more comfortable with that. I do prefer not to ONLY because I like to know how my character thought/felt in intimate situations but that's far from a deal-breaker. I'm also fine if you would prefer to RP it off comm. so the whole world doesn't have to read what happens.

Fᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ: Yes -- tbh, she'd probably give permission for this ICly if she and Lexi get along.
Cᴏᴍᴘᴜʟsɪᴏɴ: Yes -- Daisy isn't immune to this.
Vɪsɪᴏɴs/Dʀᴇᴀᴍ Mᴀɴɪᴘᴜʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: Yes pls.

Cʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ: Cami O'Connell
Fᴀɴᴅᴏᴍ: The Originals :P Okay, TVD-verse
Jᴏᴜʀɴᴀʟ: [personal profile] therapize
Fᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ: In an extreme case once she knows Lexi, Cami would give permission. If/when she learns Lexi is a vampire, Cami's going to politely point out that the magical closets provide bloodbags.
Cᴏᴍᴘᴜʟsɪᴏɴ: Cami is on vervain! And since it would take something major for her to get off of it, I'll say that a yes would involve ploting.
Vɪsɪᴏɴs/Dʀᴇᴀᴍ Mᴀɴɪᴘᴜʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: Same as above.
Hᴇᴀʟɪɴɢ: Pfft, yes if it comes to that. Blood tastes gross though. :P
